Fuelled by Youth artist appointed!

The Fuelled By Youth team are delighted to commission Lu Williams to produce a new public artwork for Milton Keynes.

Lu will be working with Milton Keynes youth communities over the coming months to capture a snapshot of the town’s youth culture in 2022.

Lu lives and works in Southend. They use research and community engagement to produce zines, print, sculpture, drawing, writing, events, and workshops. With an interest in social history, accessibility, labour, DIY culture, and protest, Lu often uses zine making to gather thoughts, memories, and contributions from members of the community.

Zine making is often used as a means of consultation and the creation of an artwork which can be directly experienced in the hands of the public - living in archives, homes, shops, galleries, and museums.
